Atlas Prints is a project that aims to give new life to the wonderful illustrations that can be found in botany and zoology manuals, scientific volumes and encyclopedias from the late 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.

We are a small company, made up of real people, long-experienced printers, 100% AI free :)

  • Every single illustration of the Atlas Prints posters has been meticulously restored and laid out in new and original graphics, to offer the contemporary public a unique, unpublished work that you will not find elsewhere.

  • What also emerges is scrupulous attention to the scientific nomenclature of the time, carefully reported. The images are taken care of down to the smallest details, maintaining their realism and transmitting the unique charm and poetry of the drawing.

How our posters are born:

1. Discovery

We research and collect often forgotten illustrations in ancient and precious volumes, silent guardians of an artistic and cultural heritage that risks being forgotten.

2. Restoration

We restore images digitally, preserving their authenticity, dedicating care and precision so that every detail found can live again with the same beauty and integrity of a time now gone.

3. Creation

We select the illustrations and layout them into unique posters, with scrupulous attention to composition and visual harmony.

4. Taxonomy

With patience and dedication we report the sources and scientific nomenclature of the time, with the respect and accuracy necessary to preserve the historical authenticity of each illustration and to allow scholars to fully immerse themselves in the cultural and scientific context of the time.
